What makes Truestock different from a normal inventory app?
Most inventory apps store a single mutable quantity number that every sale, count and transfer overwrites. Truestock stores a double-entry movement for every stock change instead, so the balance at any location is always the sum of real, timestamped movements — not a number that quietly drifts.
What is a "double-entry" stock movement?
Every movement is a signed transfer between two locations — supplier to shelf on a receipt, shelf to customer on a sale, shelf to truck on a transfer. Because each movement debits one location and credits another, the signed sum of an item across every location always nets to zero.
How does reconciliation work — can it really tell me why a number is off?
Yes. Because every change is a recorded movement, you can pull up any item and see the exact receipts, sales, transfers, builds and counts that produced today’s balance at every location — instead of guessing why the shelf count doesn’t match what the system says.

What's an industry pack?
The core ledger is universal, but a field-service van, a retail sales floor, a food warehouse with lot and expiry dates, and a small manufacturer all need different fields and vocabulary. An industry pack layers those on top of the same double-entry core.
Can Truestock handle building or assembling one item from others?
Yes. Define a bill of materials, and a Build movement consumes the component stock and produces the finished-good stock in one balanced entry, so component counts and finished-good counts never get out of sync.
How do physical counts work — do they overwrite my numbers?
No. A physical count posts the difference between what you counted and what the ledger expected as a movement into a Variance location, so every adjustment has a timestamp and a traceable reason instead of silently overwriting history.
What happens when an item hits its reorder point?
You set a reorder threshold per item and per location. When the balance at that location crosses the threshold, you know before the shelf actually runs empty.
Does Truestock work with Invoicing?
Truestock is built to work alongside Invoicing — fulfilling an invoice can log the matching shelf-to-customer movement, so your stock ledger and your sales stay in sync rather than living in two separate places.
Can I change plans later, and what happens to my history if I do?
Yes, you can move between Free, Starter, Growth and Business at any time from your account. Your locations, items and full movement history carry over with you — the ledger is never reset by a plan change.
